As an Assistant Manager in our Corporate Tax team you will be involved in the full client engagement process, enabling you to develop broader business tax skills and specialise if you want to. Your role is truly varied involving a range of tax aspects including M&A, transfer pricing, entrepreneurial work and corporate tax planning. This means you will have the opportunity to enhance your generalist technical skills and knowledge without being restricted to one area.
Your ability to focus on our clients and help deliver innovative tax solutions will be enhanced by our knowledge of specific business environments including large multi-nationals, financial services and the chance to work with many household names from a range of industry sectors. Use your networking skills to help proactively grow the practice, adding real value and making an impact, both on the firm and to your clients.
You will be responsible for helping to deliver strategic tax advice on matters ranging from tax efficient financing, mergers, acquisitions and disposals, restructuring and complex tax authority enquiries for elite clients.

The role involves:
Day to day management of existing client engagements, reporting directly to a Partner, Director, Senior Manager or Manager
Assisting with corporation tax planning and advice regarding transactions, mergers and acquisitions and international tax
Day to day management of corporate tax compliance and tax audit engagements
Assisting with tax technical research
Help with business development initiatives on target accounts, contributing to winning new work
Helping with input into development of new market opportunities, both locally and nationally
Identifying cross service line opportunities
Developing less experienced staff with hands on advice and support
To be considered you must possess:
ACA/CTA part-qualified or equivalent qualifications or experience
Experience of advising clients on UK corporate tax issues
Strong client facing skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience of assisting in developing and maintaining client relationships
