This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected business on a maternity cover contract based at their offices in Hertfordshire.

You will be providing cover for a corporate tax manager within the group tax team and whilst essentially a compliance role, the ability to provide an element of support to the business will be expected.

The desired start date is around mid to late September 2010 for approximately 11 months.

The role would suit someone who is considering a first move into industry having spent time in a Big 4 tax environment, alternatively if you have experience of working in an in-house tax compliance role you are also urged to apply.

Duties will involve:

* Preparation of tax returns
* Analysis of corporate and deferred tax implications of property transactions
* Assisting with the group's capital gains tax position
* Corresponding with HM Revenue and Customs
* Assisting with the delivery of year end reporting
