UK TAX ASSISTANT MANAGER - GLOBAL INVESTMENT BANK - Fixed term contract - 12 month
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Preparation of UK tax computations and corresponding with tax authorities
*Identifying and quantifying the tax risks, costs and opportunities.
*Assist the UK Tax Manager in following key areas:
oForeign withholding taxes linked to dividends and interest and ensuring that withholding taxes are properly levied and minimised in relation to their Cash Equity and Prime Brokerage activities
oPreparation of quarterly VAT Returns
oQuarterly Corporation Tax instalment payments
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
*Ideally 4 years corporate tax experience gained in a large accountancy practise or in house tax department
*Qualified accountant and/or equivalent tax qualification
*Knowledge of key IFRS banking standards and their relevant tax effects are an advantage including pensions, share based payments and hedging
*Experience in both Alpha Tax would be an advantage
