Job Description
The Director or Taxation will be responsible for all tax compliance & research & planning functions for the firm. Key responsibilities will include:
*Coordinating with outside tax professionals in the preparation of tax returns for all investment partnerships, management company entities and at times individual returns for senior partners
*Structuring and implementation of global tax strategies for private investments in various jurisdictions
*Working closely with firm's outside tax advisers on all tax related issues
*Tax planning for security transactions including, wash sales, straddles, constructive sales, derivatives and foreign currency transactions
*Optimizing the tax structure of funds and management companies on an ongoing basis
*Devising and implementing tax efficient compensation structures
*Coordination of FIN 48 compliant procedures and documentation for year end audit
Required Skills
*13+ years public or combo accounting experience in financial services industry
*BS in Accounting
*Tax compliance
*International tax experience state and local
