An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Direct Tax Assistant to join the Tax & Treasury department of this global organisation. The Group operates in the transportation, communications, financial services, leisure and entertainment and health and wellness sectors across five continents.
Reporting directly to the Direct Tax Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for managing the corporate tax compliance position of a portfolio of companies. This will involve the preparation of corporation tax computations, tax numbers and disclosures for statutory accounts and tax payment amounts, using accounting information available from the Finance teams. There will also be involvement in ad hoc research and advisory work as this arises.
Requirements:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to effectively deal with colleagues across the team and the wider business;
* A proactive approach with the ability to manage individual workflow;
* Computer literacy (including MS Excel and OneSource); and
* Studying towards, or intention to study towards, the CTA qualification.
