This is a genuine in-house VAT role with a difference. Working for this major corporate group who are going through an exciting period of growth and expansion this is a wide ranging tax role which will major on VAT but encompass other aspects of tax.
Reporting to the Tax Manager, the initial focus will be the preparation of VAT, EC Sales and intrastat returns for the UK and various European entities. There will also be plenty of scope to get involved in VAT planning opportunities and supporting the business as required. Additionally, there will be exposure to aspects of corporate tax and transfer pricing although prior experience is not required.
To be considered for this first rate opportunity you will need a core experience in VAT compliance and advisory within a major accounting firm or out in commerce. You will also be prepared to embrace new taxes and ideas.
