A Big 4 firm is looking for an Operational Tax Assistant Manager to join their team in Bristol.
You will be a key member of the team with involvement primarily in a range of tax advisory project work on life assurance clients, you will become a specialist in an industry that is subject to constant change and gain an insight into what drives this business
Your key duties will be:
* Supervising the work and development of junior members of staff
* Acting as the principal contact with smaller clients on day to day tax matters and working with Managers, Senior Managers and Partners on larger clients
* Developing client relationships and taking ideas to smaller clients
* Liaising with audit team to provide tax audit support where necessary and providing this support in accordance with the audit teams terms of reference
* Keeping internal control records up to date and ensuring compliance with quality control procedures
* Ensuring fees are raised regularly, identifying situations where overruns can be billed and assisting Managers/Senior Managers in billing for advisory work
