This Big 4 Firm has an extremely successful and highly regarded Financial Services practice. An opportunity exists within the Operational Taxes team for a Manager with experience of advising on information reporting and withholding regimes.
The role
- advising on US qualified intermediary regulations and other equivalent regimes (including involvement in audits, health checks and technical advisory);
- advising on FATCA including technical advisory and approach to complying with the regime
- advising on tax reclaims, imposition of withholding taxes and interpretation of double tax treaties;
- reviewing relevant tax processes, systems and controls;
- advising on EU Savings Directive, Section 17/18 reporting, TDSI, UK manufactured overseas dividend legislation, ISA and pensions tax legislation.
The candidate
- in house tax/operations experience gained within a financial institution or from within an accountancy/legal/advisory firm;
- Candidate may be ACA or CTA qualified;
- Managing a portfolio of clients and projects as well as managing junior staff;
- Ability to work closely with clients, applying practical and commercial concepts to technical work;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Strong communication and written skills;
- Flexibility to travel (desirable)
