As a PLC the business delivers the highest quality reports to investors. This requires a very strong technical expertise and top communication skills from all employees. Commercial acumen and comprehensive understanding of the business drivers is also important in addition to an exceptional Tax background.
This role sits within a small Tax team and as such will involve a broad range of direct tax issues including:
* Preparation and submission of all statutory tax returns to a high level of accuracy.
* Preparation of all claims and elections by due date.
* Preparation of replies to HMRC correspondence.
* Assistance with Group tax provisions for plc reporting purposes.
* Preparation of IFRS entity tax provisions and forecasts in accordance with agreed timetable.
* Responsibility of filing share scheme returns.
* Assistance with tax planning projects.
Given the demands of the role, a strong accounting background is important and an ACCA or ACA is preferred.
