This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the longest established firms of chartered accountants in the UK as a Trust Director. This firm has a substantial London presence and several regional offices located in the South East and Midlands regions. A full range of accounting, taxation and advisory services are provided to smaller quoted companies and owner managed businesses. In addition, the firm has established strategic alliances that are creating substantial business opportunities with international clients. They currently seek a Trust Senior Manager/Director to work within the Private Client Group and assist with the growth of the Trust and tax function. Specifically, the role will oversee and control all Trust activity for the firm including technical support and proactively seek out work on tax planning opportunities and new products/services through networking and existing client.

As the incoming Senior Trust Manager/Director, you will have the following responsibilities:
* To actively promote the Trust and tax function in the firm internally and externally;
* Monitor compliance work to ensure delivered within budget constraints and to ensure that work is efficiently and effectively delivered to the highest standard;
* Working with clients to develop opportunities in relation to further work;
* Positively seek out and work on new products and services;
* Leading or assisting with tax consultancy assignments, particularly IHT;
* Identifying tax, particularly IHT, planning opportunities and being able to convey the potential rewards and risks to clients and prospects;
* Development of new clients, attending new and existing client meetings, building up good working relationships with clients and colleagues and putting advisory skills to good use;
* Assisting with the implementation and roll out of new tax planning services and products to the firm; and
* Assistance with tax administration, dealing with correspondence with HM Revenue & Customs and clients.


Requirements:
* Ability to work at Director level with leadership ability and clear management exposure
* Holder of recognised qualification (STEP qualified ideally; ACA/ACCA and/or ATT/CTA) or able to demonstrate required relevant experience
* Evidence of project management skills
* Highly organised and efficient
* Good client relationship skills
