Nalco a world leading water treatment and process Improvement Company, currently has an excellent opportunity for a Tax Controller located, Budapest, Hungary.
The Tax Controller will be responsible for compliance, reporting, planning, projects and process implementation/improvement across EAME. The ideal candidate will have a proven tax background ideally within a multinational environment and strong tax accounting skills. This role needs someone with drive and commitment, who will engage and encourage partnerships with other functions to initiate new projects and processes.
Other Responsibilities include:
В·Support EAME strategic tax initiatives and special projects in coordination with the Corporate Tax Department in the U.S.
В·Set-up/maintain Tax Control Frame Work for direct & indirect tax:
В·Assure the appropriateness of local country current and deferred income tax expense for financial statement purposes as provided for under US GAAP FAS 109;
В·Ensures maintenance of Nalco's transfer pricing policy in EAME through a coordinated review and update of intercompany agreements
В·Supports the EAME Finance Managers regarding local country direct and indirect tax issues;
В·Provides assistance with EAME tax audits through information gathering and status documentation;
В·Plans, organizes and leads self-audits for entity tax compliance
В·Supervise Tax resource(s) responsible for VAT and other statutory tax activities.
The desired candidate will have professional experience to include:
В·Minimum of 7 years multinational tax experience, preferably a combination of public accounting/law firm experience and in-house corporate tax department experience.
В·Professional Tax Qualification (or equivalent) В– post university and/or masterВ’s degree curriculum
В·Ability to handle both legal and accounting aspects of Tax Management.
