Asset management group requires a tax professional who is seeking their first move from an FS team in practice or is currently working in financial services and is looking to move on. They will also consider tax professional without hands on experience in this sector but with a good knowledge of and an interest in financial instruments. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an asset management environment, working closely with investors, the investment managers and private equity partnerships. The investment structures are highly complex and the work is both challenging and high profile and offer an excellent base from which to develop your career in this sector.
Specific responsibilities:
Prepare and review corporation and income tax annual returns, claims and elections. Deal with tax authority enquiries, liaising with external advisers where necessary.
Review tax compliance major investors (including pension scheme tax return filing and tax reclaims).
Assist with year end reporting for tax provisions in consolidated and individual statutory accounts.
Ensure appropriate filings for offshore funds (including non resident landlord scheme and offshore reporting fund applications).
Oversee outsourced tax compliance for a number of UK and overseas entities.
Deal with enquiries from HM Revenue & Customs.
