The Role:
This will be the company’s first dedicated in-house tax resource reporting to the Finance Director. The Group has reached a point where it feels that an experienced tax professional will be able to add a significant amount of value to the business. This is an excellent opportunity to make your first move in house.
Key responsibilities include:
*Preparation of tax provisions and computations, including deferred tax calculations and tax notes on statutory accounts, as well as the tax returns for the UK offices and to a consolidated level according to relevant UK tax regulations as well as other countries.
*Take full ownership of all corporation tax and related issues.
*Implement, maintain and improve control procedures and tax policies, if so directed, ranging from entertainment and fixed assets procedures to risk assessment of a new business or projects in a new jurisdiction.
*Prepare and/or assist in finalising tax provisions, computations and return to the other offices in the EMEA region.
*Maintain and/or revisit transfer pricing policies, documentation and its implementation in relation to the accounting system.
*You will have responsibility for liaising with external advisors and taking the opportunity to proactively manage those relationships.
*Take ownership of international tax planning ensuring you liaise effectively with the relevant internal stakeholders.
The Person:
You will likely be a recently qualified ACA/CTA (or equivalent) and currently be operating at Assistant Manager level in a Big 4 firm or within an in-house tax team already. You will have a broad range of taxation experience with a strong international focus. In addition you will possess the following attributes:
*High level of confidence in order to undertake a new role
*Proactive and able to work with minimal supervision
*Team player with the ability to work with multinational teams across wide geographies
*Strong project management skills with a focus on the delivery of business goals
