An extremely exciting opportunity has recently come available with one of the world's leading Financial Services Institutions as a Tax Accounting and Reporting Specialist based in Zurich, Switzerland. The role provides you with the exciting opportunity of moving to a city that is fast becoming one of the financial capitals of the world, where the wages are also around 10-20% higher than that of the UK.
The role itself will give you exposure to all areas of the company and will require you to review the corporate income tax P&L and balance sheet figures booked by locations on a quarterly basis. You will be key in working with the locations to ensure that Group Tax Accounting processes are understood and dealing with any queries that may arise. You will also be ensuring that the company is compliant with all corporate tax regulations.
A successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA &/or CTA) and trained in the Big 4 with around 1-2 years relevant corporate tax compliance and accounting experience. Financial services experience either through a Big 4 practice or industry is desirable but not mandatory. Furthermore you will have an excellent understanding of IFRS especially deferred tax accounting principles.
