As a Tax Technician you will support busy client teams who provide clients with advice and guidance on paying and minimising their tax bills. You will have a range of tasks involving; preparing tax returns, technical research, attending meetings with senior members of staff, developing relationships with HMRC, drafting correspondence and general office duties.
In addition to your 'on the job' support and development you will study for the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) qualification and be supported through the two years it will take you to complete it. If you excel in your role and your studies your achievements will be recognised with the opportunity to go on to further study for your Chartered Tax Advisor certificate.
As you would expect from a leading global firm, variety and diversity is encouraged and a key strength in their achievements as a company. Successful applicants will come from a range of backgrounds and experience and be looking for a training role either after completing A levels or Degree studies. You may have some accounts and finance experience but will be committed and enthusiastic about a career in this sector. You must be academically strong, articulate, well-presented and enjoy and excel at working with people.
To apply you must meet either of these criteria:
· 280 UCAS tariff points in three or more A levels/AS/AVCE/Scottish Highers (excluding general studies).
· Or HND/HNC/International Equivalent or a 2:2 classification Degree.
· Please note that in this instance, candidates with a 2:1 degree will NOT be considered for these roles owing to the different schemes run by the firm.
