Central London based Top-tier firm seeks an ambitious VAT Executive to join its Value Added Tax team. This team has grown organically over recent years and now requires a talented individual to help expand its client portfolio. This role is an advisory focused role with involvement in a wide range of projects and sectors, as a result you will be expected to develop client relationships early on, and work to maintain them.
Reporting to the Manager and responsible for junior members of the team, the key aspects of this role are as follows;
- Seeking solutions to technical issues whilst knowing when to seek advice from the manager
- Supporting managers on VAT planning and ad hoc projects
- Providing general support to clients in the provision of VAT advice
- Regularly attending meetings and when appropriate, answering client queries
- Demonstrating sufficient technical knowledge to undertake relevant areas of work
- Responsibility for conducting appraisals of junior staff whilst completing self job appraisals
Suitable VAT experience is essential, however whilst a professional qualification would be preferable, this is not essential. This is a unique role in that it does not place a large emphasis on compliance based work, rather it is an advisory based role which involves a large amount of client contact.
